-
ERRORS OR OMISSIONS
- A number of circumstances may arise where a bet or wager is accepted, or a payment is made, by us in error. A non-exhaustive list of such circumstances is as follows: (1.1) where we mis-state any odds or terms of a bet or gaming wager to you as a result of obvious error or omission in inputting the information or setting up a market, or as a result of a computer malfunction; (1.2) where we have made a "palpable error". A palpable error occurs where: in relation to bets placed prior to an event taking place, the prices/terms offered are materially different from those available in the general market; or in relation to any event, the price/terms offered at the time the bet is placed are clearly incorrect given the probability of the event occurring; (1.3) where we have continued to accept bets on a market which should have been suspended, including where the relevant event is in progress (except where "in-running" bets are accepted) or had already finished (sometimes referred to as "past post bets");
- We reserve the right to: (2.1) correct any Error made on a bet placed and re-settle the same at the correct price, cash out amount or terms which were available or should have been available through us (absent the publishing error) at the time that the bet was placed and the bet will be deemed to have taken place on the terms which were usual for that bet; or (2.2) where it is not reasonably practicable to correct and re-settle under 2.1 above, we declare the bet void and return your stake into your account in the event of a bad line or past post wager.
- We (including our employees or agents) shall not be liable for any loss, including loss of winnings that result from any Error by us or an error by you.
- You shall inform us as soon as possible should you become aware of any Error.
- Where you have used monies which have been credited to your account or awarded to you as a result of an Error to place subsequent bets or play games, we may cancel such bets and/or withhold any winnings which you may have won with such monies.
- You should determine whether theplay.bet services are permitted under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- Account balances must be verified by the player on each Internet log-on prior to wagering. When you verify and accept your betting account balance, you agree that all previous transactions are correct and you do not have any claims. Claims or disputes must be settled at this time.
- All Internet betting transactions are logged and backed-up regularly. In all cases of dispute, both management and the player agree that the log backup shall serve as the final authority in the dispute and that all wagers will be adjusted accordingly. Claims must be lodged within three days from the date the wager was made. No claims will be honored after this three-day period. Players are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all account transactions.
- Any manipulation of prices and or spread may result in the ticket being marked a loser.
Straight bets are made when you choose a team and the point spread. The cost of the bet is 10/11 or $110 to win $100.
Example:
- Toronto Raptors +6
- Chicago Bulls -6
If the straight bet is on the Bulls -6 then the Bulls must win by more than 6 points for the bet to win.
If the straight bet is on the Raptors +6 then the Raptors cannot lose by more than 5 points for the bet to win.
If the game lands on 6 pts. then your bet is a "push" and will result in "no action". i.e.: Final Score: Rap 90 and Bulls 96
Two or more teams or totals can be combined to make one wager. Circled games cannot be parlayed. Proposition plays, and future bets cannot be parlayed. In case of tie or no action the parlay will revert to lower level payoff, except in a 2 team parlay where a tie reverts to a straight bet.
(!) All parlays are based on a true odds format except for parlay cards.
Parlays Payoffs
- 2 Teams 100 to win 260
- 3 Teams 100 to win 600
- Player agrees not to request a withdrawal prior to meeting all stipulations, including rollover requirements and 30 day expiration.
- 4 Teams 100 to win 1000
- 5 Teams 100 to win 2000
- 6 Teams 100 to win 4000
- 7 Teams 100 to win 7500
- 8 Teams 100 to win 10000
Note: Maximum parlay payout is $ 10,000
Teasers are wagers in which 2 to 7 teams are selected together in one wager with an adjusted point spread. In a teaser you can add points to the sides or mix both sides and totals adding or subtracting to the totals.TIE + LOSS = LOSS * TIE + WIN = LOSS.
Example:
- 2 team teaser 4pts for $100
- Lakers +4 +4 pts = the teased line is now +8
- Knicks -3 +4 pts = the teased line is now +1
- The payout in a 2 team teaser for 4 pts. is 10/12 In this case you will lay $120 to win $100.
If bets help customers who want to have action on more than one game but based on the result of the 1st wager. There are 2 types of if bets, "If Win Only" and "If Win/Ties or cancelled.
If Win Only:
- Dallas Cowboys -5 $110 to win $100
If Win Only
- Carolina Panthers +4 $110 to win $100
If the Cowboys lose, the wager stops there and is scored a loser -$110; if the Cowboys win +$100 the wager continues to the Panthers wager; if the Panthers win, the wager is a $200 winner; if the Panthers lose the wager is a $10 loss. If the Cowboys win by exactly 5, then there will be no action on the Carolina Panthers and the 110 will go back to your account.
If Win/Ties or cancelled
- Dallas Cowboys -5 $110 to win $100
If Win/Ties or cancelled
- Carolina Panthers +4 $110 to win $100
In this case, customers will have action on the second part of the wager if Dallas wins by 5 or more points.
A Reverse wager connects two contestants in two separate IF bets. The first IF would connect contestant A to contestant B, the second bet would connect contestant B to contestant A. Keep in mind Reverses are If bets where you need to select if win only or if win/ties or cancelled.
Example:
- A customer wants a $100 Action Reverse with the New England Patriots -9, and the Denver Broncos +6 the play would look like this.
Part A: New England Patriots -9 Risking $110 to win $100, If that play wins or pushes then there will be action on the Denver Broncos +6 risking $110 to win $100. If the New England Patriots don't cover the -9 spread then there will be no action on the Denver Broncos +6.
Part B: Denver Broncos +3 risking $110 to win $100, if that play wins or pushes then there will be action on the New England Patriots -9 risking $110 to win $100. If the Broncos don't cover the +6 spread then there will be no action on the Patriots -9.
The total risk amount is $220.00, but the player has a possibility of winning up to $400.00.
Action Points are available for football and basketball. Action Points are for the bettor who not only can predict which team will win the game, but by how many points. Your action point wager is capped from 1 point to a maximum of 10 points, and the wager you risk cannot exceed your available balance. On this type of wager, you risk $110 for every $100 wagered.
Example:
- Atlanta Hawks 191
- Houston Rockets -5
Suppose you wager $100 a point on the Houston Rockets and ask for a cap of 10 points. Houston must win by at least 5 points, and for every point over the point spread of 5 that they win by, you win $100. You have the chance of winning between $100 and $1,000.
If Houston wins by 9 points, your net winnings would be $400. On the other hand, if Houston fails to cover the point spread, you risk $110 for every point that they fall short of the 5-point spread. You can also use totals either over or under, or the underdog in the game, getting 5 points.
Action points can only be placed through our call center.
Football and Basketball betting you are given the option to bet a point spread or a moneyline bet. With money lines you wager which team is going to win. Disregarding the point spread.
Example:
- Orlando Magic -280
- Houston Rockets +240
If you wager on Orlando -280 you lay $280 to win $100.
If you wager on Houston +240 you lay $100 to win $240.
The line values are determined base on the point spread. When betting money lines you are betting on a team to win the game outrigh
Open wagers allow the customer to play teasers or parlays making one selection at different times or even different days.
Example: 3 Team Parlay $100 to win $600
- Cowboys -8
- Dolphins -14
- OPEN*
* Any open wager left unfilled/pending for more than 1 week will be cancelled. No open spots on 10 pt teasers. No open spots on 4 team or more parlays.
* The minimum amount for a bet placed online with 1 or 2 open spots is $50 and customer must call to fill the open spots.
Round Robin is a wager in which three to ten teams or totals are combined into a single play and all possible combinations of Parlays chosen by the customer. Any pick that can be parlayed may be placed in a Round Robin.
Because the Round Robins are turned into Parlays, the same apply as in a regular Parlay:
If one of the teams loses, all parlay combinations with that team are a loss.
If one team pushes, then all combinations with that team would turn into the lower Parlay or Straight bets risking the same amount of the Parlay.
Open spots are not allowed in Round Robins.
Points may be bought on as many picks as the customer wants in a Round Robin, as long as the Round Robin is broken into only 2 or 3 team combinations. Also, whatever the player risks on the Round Robin must be applied to each of the 2 Parlay combinations
Example:
- New York Knicks +7 -110
- Houston Rockets +8 -110 - A $50 RR, in combinations of 3 by 2's
- Cleveland/Denver Over 188 -110
- 1st Parlay 2nd Parlay 3rd Parlay
- Knicks +7 Knicks +7 Houston +8
- Houston +8 Cleveland / Denver Over 188 Cleveland / Denver Over 188
- Risk $50 / Win $130 Risk $50 / Win $130 Risk $50 / Win $130
A 3 team Round Robin for $50 has 3 possible 2 team Parlay combinations, so the maximum risk would be $150; each parlay would win $130, so the maximum win would be of $390.
All bets are action regardless of injuries, scratches, non-starts, incomplete finishes or any other situation where placement cannot be determined.
Site does not pay track odds, call for details.
Multiple payouts on any particular race cannot exceed pool totals
We will honor all wagers placed up until the official off time. Any tickets placed after the official off time will be voided and the wager amount will be refunded regardless of the circumstances.
We reserve the right to refuse any wager prior to the official off time.
Once a bet is confirmed online the bet cannot be deleted and will be considered action.
In the event a race is ruled a no contest all wagers on the race will result in a refund only. If a track chooses to cancel an exotic due to a reduced field all bets will result in a refund only. In the event our data provides a bet type that is not available at the track it will result in a refund only.
Daily Doubles - All scratches in the first leg of a multi race exotic will result in a refund on the scratched horses only. If any post time or late scratches should occur after the opening leg the bettor will receive a refund for their ticket. Refunds on scratched horses will be returned to the customer when the race is graded.
It’s a split line where half the money goes on one line, and half on another line. For example Barcelona -11⁄4 -120 for $100 the total risk is $120 to win $100, but it splits in 2 lines: Barcelona -1 $60/$50 and Barcelona -1½ $60/$50, if Barcelona wins the game by 1 goal that means that Barcelona -1 $60/$50 pushes, and Barcelona -1½ $60/$50 is a loss, resulting in a total loss of -$60.

Overs/Unders: A match must reach full time for wagers on the total number of goals scored in the match to be valid. Should there be a dispute over a proposition (examples include, but are not limited to: name of the first goalscorer; time of a goal) wagers will be settled and paid based on the reports of the sporting media.
Wagers on the first half of a soccer match include 45 minutes of play plus any stoppage time added by the referee at the end of the first half. If the first half is not completed, wagers shall be void and stakes returned.
Wagers on the second half of a soccer match include 45 minutes of play plus any stoppage time added by the referee at the end of the second half. Extra periods, golden goals, and shootouts are not included in second half wagering. Goals scored in the first half do not count toward the second half wager.
Example: Suppose AC Milan lead Juventus 1-0 at half time and the odds on the second half are Juventus -0.5. The -0.5 applies to the second half of play only. Therefore Juventus bettors win if Juventus scores more goals in the second half than AC Milan scores in the second half. AC Milan bettors win if the teams score an equal number of goals in the second half, or if AC Milan scores more goals in the second half than Juventus scores in the second half.
The match must reach full time for second half wagers to stand.
Bets on teams to qualify or to advance to the next round of a competition:
Bets are paid out on the referee’s final whistle at the match’s natural conclusion, whether the match is decided in regular time, extra time, or in a penalty shootout. Extra time and penalty shootouts are always included for betting purposes.
In a one-leg match all bets have action once the match kicks off. If the referee abandons a one-leg match (for reasons including, but not limited to: crowd disturbances, unplayability of the pitch, or one team not having enough players to continue) bets will be paid based on decisions of the relevant governing body. Bets will stand while the governing body considers the circumstances of the abandonment and determines what remedy is to be taken (including, but no limited to: forfeiture, resumption of play at a later time, or a replay). If a team is disqualified before the match kicks off, all bets are void. If the prescribe a replay for a drawn match, all bets stand for the replay.
In a two-leg match, all bets have action once the second leg kicks off, provided that the first leg has not been ruled a forfeit. If the first leg is ruled a forfeit, all bets on teams ‘to qualify’ or ‘to advance’ are void. If the second leg is abandoned, all bets remain valid and will be paid based on decisions of the relevant governing body.
Wagers made on a team winning a specific cup or trophy will have action through Extra Time and Penalty Kicks. For example, a bet made on AC Milan to win the Champions League Trophy would have action through Extra Time and Penalty Kicks and would be graded on the result after those added sessions(if they were needed to be played).
For proposition bets concerning total number of goals on a specific day in a specific league/competition, the exact number of matches must be played on that day and wagers will be decided based on two halves of 45 minutes each and any time the referee adds to compensate for injuries and other stoppages. Goals scored in periods of extra time or penalty shootouts do not count.
For example, a prop for total number of goals for 3 English Premiere matches on a Sunday, must have all 3 matches completed for action on that day. If one or more games is not played (or completed) on that Sunday, the wager has no action.
For proposition bets concerning home vs away goals on a specific day in a specific league/competition, the exact number of matches must be played on that day and wagers will be decided based on two halves of 45 minutes each and any time the referee adds to compensate for injuries and other stoppages. Goals scored in periods of extra time or penalty shootouts do not count.
For example, a prop for home vs away goals for 3 English Premiere matches on a Sunday, must have all 3 matches completed for action on that day. If one or more games is not played (or completed) on that Sunday, the wager has no action.
For proposition bets concerning home vs away goals for a given League or competition on a given day, the team listed on top in a neutral field game (denoted by "(n)") will be considered the home team.
Player Proposition: A proposition bet concerning if a player will score, or not score, in a specific match includes regulation time (plus injury time) only. Own goals do not count. For wagers to have action, the player must start the match. Bets on any player who does not start the match will be cancelled.
Yellow Card Propositions:
For grading purposes, only yellow cards are included for Total Yellow Card Propositions. When a player receives a second yellow card (and as a result, a red card), the player will have been shown two yellow cards.
If a player receives a straight red card, he will not necessarily have been shown a yellow card previously in the match. Therefore, a straight red card is not included in the grading of Total Yellow Card propositions.
For example, a game with two yellow cards and a straight red card would be graded as two yellow cards; Or, a game with two players with one yellow card each and one player with a red card (as a result of two yellow cards for the same player) would be graded as four yellow cards.
For betting purposes all yellow cards shown to any player count (this includes those playing or sitting on the bench). Any cards shown to “non-playing” staff do not count.
Yellow cards during periods of extra time are not included. Only Yellow cards shown during regulation time, or any time the referee adds to compensate for injuries and other stoppages, are included.
Corner Kick Proposition: For grading purposes, Corner Kicks which happen in periods of extra time are not included. Only Corner Kicks which take place during regulation time, or any time the referee adds to compensate for injuries and other stoppages, are included.
Offsides Proposition: For grading purposes, Offsides which happen in periods of extra time are not included. Only Offsides which take place during regulation time, or any time the referee adds to compensate for injuries and other stoppages, are included.
Exact Score and Both Teams to Score Propositions: For grading purposes, only goals in regulation time, or any time the referee adds to compensate for injuries and other stoppages, are included.
Head to Head Matchup Propositions: For grading purposes, wagers will be graded based on the completion of each of the competition's stages (i.e. qualifying rounds, group stages, quarterfinals, etc.) and not based on who is eliminated first. In other words, if one team is eliminated in the semifinals based on a Tuesday match result and the other team is also eliminated in the semifinals based on a Wednesday match result, wagers would be graded no action.
For proposition wagers on which team will score first, only goals in regulation time or any added injury time will count. If there are zero goals in regulation/injury time, then all wagers on this proposition will have no action and be refunded.
For halftime/fulltime score propositions, only goals in regulation time or any added injury time will count. If match does not go full time, then all wagers on this proposition will be refunded.
For correct score propositions, only goals in regulation time or any added injury time will count. If the score is 0-0 in Full Time, then no goals or exact score of 0-0 will be declared the winner.
A Clean Sheet will be defined as a team not allowing a goal in regulation or added injury time only. Any goals allowed in Extra Time or Penalty shootouts will not affect this wager.
For "will a team have a clean sheet and win" propositions, the team must have a clean sheet(as defined above) and be ahead at the end of regulation/injury time. If the team is not ahead at the end of regulation/injury time, then the related proposition will be graded NO.
Any discipline (yellow card, red card, sending off) that occurs after the whistle that ends regulation time will not count toward related propositions for that match.
At times (in the Champion's League or other major competitions) we may offer the proposition "will both Team A and Team B win on a given day." Wagers on this proposition will be graded based on Full Time (extra time, and shootouts are not included). If either team does not win in Full Time, then NO bets will be graded as winners and YES bets will lose.
For action, both games must reach Full Time. If either game is suspended before full time is reached, and not completed the same day, wagers on the outcome of this proposition are considered void and all stakes shall be returned.
Bets are considered official after 55 minutes of play. If 55 minutes of play is not conducted, a bet on the team is treated as no action, and a parlay bet will be reduced accordingly. Bets on 1st, 2nd halves and all quarters will be considered
Game must be played on scheduled date and site.
NFL Betting Props
NFL-SCORE FIRST in the game: First team to score in the game. If a team scores and the game is cancelled or postponed afterward, all wagers stand regardless of how many minutes have been played.
NFL-SCORE LAST in the game: Must be an official game (55 minutes of play). If the game goes into overtime, the team that scores last will be the winner.

Betting on Hockey
Line Types
We offer 3 different types of lines for Hockey; The Canadian Line, 3 Way Option), and Straight Money Lines.
Hockey Betting | Canadian Line
The Canadian line is a combination of a goal and money line. The money line is a 20 cent line for straight bets.
Example:
- Boston Bruins +1 1/2 -140
- L.A. Kings -1 1/2 +120
If betting on the Kings the customer would give-up a goal and a half and would risk $100 to win $120, the Kings must win by at least two goals. If betting on the Bruins the customer would get a goal and half but would risk $140 to win $100.
Hockey Betting | Money Line
All money line options are prices to win the game outright, according to NHL .
Example:
- Boston Bruins +110
- L.A. Kings -130
If you select the Bruins to win the game, betting $100 would win you $110. If you select the Kings to win, you would need to risk $130 to win $100.
Hockey Betting | Totals Over/Under
Example:
- Bruins +1 1/2 -140 5 OVER -130
- Kings -1 1/2 +120
As well as having favorites on sides you also have favorites on totals, in this example over the total of five goals is indicated as the favorite in which case the customer would lay $130 to win $100. If betting on the game to go under five goals the customer goes with the underdog so he/she receives a larger return in this case risking $100 to win $110. If there is no money line indicated the total has a "FLAT" line or -110 whether betting over or under, in which case the customer would lay $110 to win $100 either way. When you wager on total goals, if the score falls on the number in this case five, it will be "no action".
Hockey Parlays Betting
Hockey Parlays
With hockey parlays you can combine anywhere from 2 to 8 teams into a single wager resulting in higher betting payouts as in baseball parlays. Note: Hockey parlays are calculated as they are in baseball. Maximum parlay payout is $10,000.
Concluded hockey games are official after 55 minutes of play (includes outright and 60 minute wagering).
Third period lines in hockey DO NOT include overtime.
Overtime is included in NHL, NCAA, and all other North American Leagues. In the NHL, the winner in overtime or shootout is credited with a goal. This goal counts towards the final score for grading purposes.
Any shootout that does not result in either team being credited with an additional goal, will NOT count for wagering purposes.
The final score in hockey for international games and all leagues outside of North America do NOT include overtime. Overtime and shoot-outs do not count unless the wagering option (OUTRIGHT) or (ADVANCES) is listed.
Parlays including moneylines to totals of the same game are allowed on selected options. Parlays with spreads to totals of the same game are not permitted.
Money line wagering on soccer offers a draw line as well as sides. In the event of a draw example: (1-1), all bets on either of the sides will be graded as losers. Again, in the event of a draw, only wagers placed on the draw line will be graded as a win.
The result of the game is decided after 90 minutes of play plus injury time. Extra time / overtime / golden goal is not taken into consideration for soccer bets unless otherwise stipulated.
If any match is abandoned or postponed all bets will be void unless the relevant market result has already happened. For example, "first goal scorer" betting will stand if a goal has already been scored.
Where a venue is changed, bets will stand unless the game is to be player at the original away team's ground in which case all bets will be void.
Asian Handicap
Many matches are handicapped in ½ and ¼ intervals; both of which eliminate the possibility of a push since no one can score a half-goal. Quarter (¼) handicaps split the bet between the two closest ½ intervals. For instance, a $1000 bet with a handicap of 1¾ is the same as betting $500 at 1½ and $500 at 2. With ¼ handicap bets, you can win and draw (win ½ of wager) or lose and draw (lose ½ wager). The ¼-goal handicap may be expressed by some bookmakers as "0 and ½", or as "pk and ½" (for "pick-em") - especially for bookmakers whose systems are designed for sports like American football and basketball, where bets have a handicap that is designed to make the odds as close to even as possible.
The bettor's stake is automatically divided equally and placed as 2 separate bets. This means that with a handicap point of 0-0.5 or 0 and ½, half of your stake is on the 0 point handicap and the other half.
Example:
Match: Everton vs. Newcastle United - Handicap: Newcastle +1.0, +1.5
Explained: This handicap states that half of your bet goes on Newcastle to win, draw, or lose by less than 1 goal; and half on Newcastle to win, draw, or lose by less than 1.5 goals.
If the final score is Everton 1-0 Newcastle, half your bet would be refunded due to draw (Everton 1 - +1 Newcastle, i.e: Newcastle lost by exactly one goal). The second half would win (Everton 1 - +1.5 Newcastle, i.e: Newcastle lost by less than 1.5 goals).
At theplay.bet we accept bets on all major tennis events using straight money lines.
Example:
- Roger Federer -140 or risk $140 to win $100
- Andy Roddick +120 or risk $100 to win $120
For wagering purposes, a tennis match must go at least 2 full sets or 3 full sets for Grand Slams (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open, MENS ONLY), there will be action. In the event of a retirement after 2 full sets (or 3 full set for a grand slam) the winner will be determined by who advances. Tennis times are not final. The times will be determined by our official source (Don Best). All matchup are action regardless of schedule changes. In the event of a past-posted wager, the wager will NOT have action regardless of the result. Wagers placed on matches will have action, even if the match is postponed, and completed on a later date (24Hr Rule does not apply for Tennis Matchups). In the event of a change of playing surface, venue, or outside to indoor court and vice versa, all bets will stand. In the case of a walkover situation, the outcome will be graded "no action".
Spread and Total Games Betting
If a tennis match is not completed because of a player retirement or disqualification, all Spread (sets or games) and Total Games bets will be considered void, regardless of the score of the match. Such wagers will be cancelled and the monies refunded.
Betting on all Major Golfing Events
Straight money line betting as well as match-ups.

Special Handicap Head to Heads
If a player withdraws after tee off or misses the cut the player who plays the most holes wins. Playoffs do not count for handicap bets. To Win a Tournament

Mixed Martial Arts rules
1. The result at the end of the contest is final. This includes any recounts of the judges’ scorecards. Any subsequent changes made by governing bodies do not count for betting purposes.
2. Total Points/Rounds (Over/Under): If a fighter fails to start a round then the previous completed round is considered the last round of the fight. Where half a round is stated, the half way point of the respective round (1 minute 30 seconds for 3 minute rounds or 2 minutes 30 seconds for 5 minute rounds) will determine the under or over. If a contest lands exactly on the specified half round time, the result will be considered ‘Over’. (Eg: Total is over/under 1.5 rounds and it contest ends at 1:30 of the 2nd round – the ‘Over’ will be the winner).
3. Knockdown/Count in Round: Only knockdowns that lead to a “count” from the referee or if the referee initiates a “count” will qualify for this bet.
4. Round by Round betting: Bets will be settled based on the round during which the bout ends. If a fighter fails to start a round, then the previous completed round is considered the “winning” result for this bet.

Cricket Betting
At least one ball must be bowled for bets to stand, otherwise all bets are void. However, if a match is officially abandoned (e.g. due to dangerous pitch conditions) then all undecided bets on the match are void.
For batting or bowling head-to-heads, both batsmen must reach the crease, or both bowlers must bowl one ball for bets to stand, otherwise all bets are void and wagers refunded.
In one-day matches shortened by weather the outcome will be that determined by the Competition . If the match is declared a 'no-result' all bets are void and wagers refunded.
Betting on Australian domestic cricket is based on the most points awarded in the match.
Handball/Floorball Betting

Other Sports not covered
Bets will be decided on the official result declared by that particular sports governing body.
1. The start dates and times displayed on our website for E-Sport matches are an indication only and are not guaranteed to be correct. If a match is suspended or postponed, and not resumed within 12 hours from the actual scheduled start time, then wagers on the match will have no action and be refunded.
The exception being any wager on whether a team/player advances in a tournament, or wins the tournament, will have action regardless of a suspended or postponed match.
2. If the name of a player/team is misspelled, all bets will stand unless it is obvious it is the wrong object.
3. If in an official match a player plays with the wrong nickname or on a smurf-account, the result is still valid unless it is evident that it is not the player that was supposed to play that match.
4. All wagers will be settled using the official result as declared by the relevant governing body of the competition concerned.
5. If a draw option has not been made available, then extra time will count, if played.
6. Handicap betting: A spread in E-Sports can be Rounds/Maps or other counting measures dependent on the game. The spread will only be referred to as the spread. (For example, in Counter Strike the spread will be rounds won, while in Starcraft 2 the spread would be maps).
Handicapping is a way of making a sports contest more even and thus more interesting as a betting object. In E-Sports betting, this is done by awarding one of the teams/players, the underdog, some maps/rounds ahead.
For example: | ||
Handicap | Odds | |
Player A | -1.5 | 2.00 |
Player B | +1.5 | 1.85 |
If Player A wins the match by two maps or more, Player A bettors win and Player B bettors lose. If Player A wins by exactly one map or Player B wins, Player B bettors win and PlayerA bettors lose.
7. Total Betting: A total in E-sports can be Rounds/Maps or other counting measures dependent on the game. The total will only be referred to as the total.
Example for a best of three SC2 Match: | ||
Over | 2.5 | 1.93 |
Under | 2.5 | 1.93 |
If either player wins 2-0 all bets on under 2.5 will win, while bets on the over will lose. If either player wins 2-1 all bets on the over win, while bets on the under lose.
8. If a map is not completed because of a player retirement or disqualification, all bets on the outcome will have action and will be validated based on the official declared winner. Counter-Strike maps are exceptions to this rule, for which all moneyline, spread and total bets are canceled if a team retires or is disqualified before all scheduled map rounds are played.
Should a player/team withdraw before a tournament begins, or retire during a tournament, bets on that player/team to win the tournament, or to advance in tournament, will be canceled and monies refunded.
If the respective player/team withdraws before the tournament begins while being listed as “must start”, then wagers on whether a player/team advances in tournament or wins the tournament, will have no action and monies refunded – this applies to all players/teams participant in the tournament.
If the announced number of maps/rounds is changed all bets on the handicap or total are cancelled. Bets on the moneyline (outcome of the match) have action.
If a player or team receives a walkover or win by admin decision on at least one map, all wagers on the series (moneyline, spread and total) will be canceled and monies refunded. In CS:GO, if a team retires or is disqualified before all scheduled rounds on a map are played, all wagers on the series (moneylines, spread and total) will be canceled and monies refunded as well.
